Event Verification Policy

Trust and legitimacy are paramount for event-goers. EventIndia implements a multi-tiered event verification system to help users distinguish between officially sanctioned registrations, verified ticketing partners, and general community-sourced listings.

The 3-Tier Verification Framework

We classify all event listings into three distinct verification tiers based on their source credentials and direct endpoints:

Tier 1: Official Source (Verified)

These listings point directly to authorized institutional domains, government links, or registered academic pages (e.g. .edu.in, .ac.in, .gov.in, or verified university subdomains). This guarantees that the registration process is managed directly by the organizing university or official board.

Tier 2: Ticket Booking Partner (Verified)

These listings connect users to verified direct ticketing and booking pathways on national platforms (e.g., BookMyShow movies/events explore nodes, Paytm Insider, Townscript, Unstop, or Devfolio). This guarantees the event tickets are legitimate and bookable in real-time.

Tier 3: Search Curation (Community Curation)

These events are compiled dynamically from verified public notices, news announcements, and community suggestions. While we fact-check these listings, they are marked for community caution and point users to search queries to verify latest schedules directly.

Verification Trust Badges

When viewing event detail pages on EventIndia, look for our verification status badges next to the registration links. A verified badge indicates that our editorial curators have confirmed the safety and validity of the destination endpoint.

For Event Organizers: Verify or Claim Your Event

If you are an authorized representative of a college fest, hackathon, workshop, or concert series, you can claim your listing and get it verified:

  • Email us from your official institutional address at verification@eventindia.online.
  • Provide proof of your event details, direct registration link, and a copy of the official brochure or flyer.
  • Our editorial desk will review the submission and update the verification badge to "Official" or "Organizer" within 24 hours.
