You must have an active AICF player registration. Search for the tournament, submit the entry fee, and verify your name on the player list.

All mobile phones, smartwatches, and electronic devices are strictly banned in the playing hall. Carrying one results in an immediate loss.

Generally, the host association provides tournament-standard boards and digital chess clocks, but always check the official prospectus sheet.

Classic tournaments use 90 minutes for 40 moves, plus 30 minutes for the rest of the game, with a 30-second increment per move.

Arbiters upload pairings and results to chess-results.com after each round. Links are also posted on the local state association board.
